This deck of cards was created as a fun way to help youth learn and build coping skills. These coping skills are designed using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) self-soothing strategies.
The cards can be used individually or in a group/family setting. The goal is to learn new skills while having fun.
How to play:
Begin by laying the cards face down in four rows of 13 cards each; Each player takes a turn by turning two cards over. If the cards match, then the player picks up the cards and keeps them. If they do not match, the player turns the cards back over. If the player gets a match, they get to go again, until they do not get a match.
**Using these cards is not intended to replace the guidance of a professional life coach or mental health professional. This is also a tool that complements the work of mental health professionals.**
